National Mass Care Webinar Series: “Benefits of Implementing the Donated Resources Policy”

On Wednesday, September 17, the National Mass Care Council hosted the webinar, “Benefits of Implementing the Donated Resources Policy,” with over 150 participants. The panel of presenters represented federal agencies, state government, and voluntary agencies:

  • Dante Gliniecki, State of Missouri
  • Kam Kennedy, American Red Cross
  • Mike Pickeral, FEMA
  • Jennifer Poitras, State of Colorado
  • Susamma Seeley, Catholic Charities

During the webinar speakers discussed the history of the National Mass Care Exercise, the exercise provided an overview of the revised Donated Resources Policy, the process for applying the Policy during disasters, actual State implementation experience and benefits derived, and its relevance to Emergency Management Program Grants (EMPG).
