FEMA has released the Mass Care/Emergency Assistance Pandemic Planning Guidance document, which represents one of several resources that FEMA, other federal agencies and the American Red Cross are providing to support state, local, tribal, and territory governments throughout the COVID-19 response.
This document examines the unique considerations when developing mass care and emergency assistance plans for State, Local, Tribal, and Territorial (SLTT) jurisdictions that may be faced with a pandemic occurring concurrently with another incident or disaster.
It addresses all of the Mass Care/Emergency Assistance activities that are performed within that context and addresses the unique challenges that go along with providing those services (Example: Maintaining Social Distancing in a congregate shelter).
