National Mass Care Strategy Resource Center

The whole community approach reinforces that the entire community can be involved in disaster preparedness. The NMCS Resource Center contains tools related to mass care activities.

Mass care activities include sheltering, feeding, distribution of emergency supplies, and reunification support.  These activities support mass evacuees, accessibility and inclusive resources, as well as household pets, service animals, and assistance animals. National mass care exercises also support the development of mass care capacity and capabilities for the whole community.
